What is the new UBBI?
United Bulls and Broncs Inc. is a convergence of the bucking horse and the bucking bull industry for the Rodeo Stock Contactor as well as the Rodeo Stock Breeder. The UBBI will provide first class events to showcase bulls and broncs all at one event all while always providing 100% transparency to its members as well as giving the members a voice.

GENERAL MEMBERSHIP
All stock contractors and/or owners must pay a one-time membership competing season. If multiple partners are paying entry fees, each partner will need a membership for the competing year.
EVENTS
· One Kick Off event fall of Oct. 25-26, 2024
· Four regular season events with a finals in 2025
· Two-day events, Friday will be all non-rider animals bucked, Saturday afternoon/evening will be for all rider age animals)
· All event to be hosted at a “Founding Members” ranch or venue of their choice.
· Finals will be produced by UBBI at a venue contracted by UBBI.
· Bring your own rider (bulls and horses)

Year End Finals:
· To qualify for the 2025 Year End Finals, animals MUST
attend a minimum of two (2) UBBI produced events.
· The UBBI point system will be used to determine the
Year End Champions of each class.
· Points will be awarded as follows:
o 1 point for every animal in each event. Points will decrease by 1 based on placing until ending with 1 for last place.
o Example 24 two-year-old horses entered. 1st – 24 points, 2nd – 23 points, 3rd – 22 points on down to 24th (last place) receiving 1 point.
· The Year End Finals will be worth DOUBLE points
and the year-end champion for each class will be crowned with Finals points included.

The UBBI will be open to UBBI sanctioned events in 2026, only “Founding Members” will be considered to host non UBBI produced events. Applications will be available mid 2025.
Payouts
All payouts (including side pots) will be as follows (except rider pots, see rider section).
UBBI Divisionals will pay 6 per division* (Open, Challenger, Limited, Contender) If there are 6 qualified score in each division, if not all money will be split up among all qualified animals in that division.
1-18 animals Open Division only 100%
19-40 animals Open and Challenger Divisions 60/40
41-65 animals Open, Challenger and Limited Divisions 50/25/25
66+ animals Open, Challenger, Limited and Contender Divisions. 40/20/20/20/20
Money in each division will be broken down 32/20/17/14/10/7
Checks will be cut by event secretary at end of event, please make sure they are picked up, UBBI will not mail them.
THE SCORING – 4 judge system, high and low will be dropped.
Judges will look at criteria like:
4. Intensity – fire, energy, force.
5. Overall - How showy are they? Big jumps? Hang time? Wow factor? Flashy? Does he/she look RODEO?
Any animal shall be docked in points for bucking in an erratic “eliminator” style, walking on front end, double kicking, flat spinner (no kick), and just flat being out of line.
Each Judge will have 25 (with .1 point used) points to give an animal, 5 for each category. Judge’s sheets will be broken down to show how they came up with their score for your animal. All Scores shall be posted and available for Contractors to view as soon as possible.
(Looking for animals that should be rode and take the rider to the pay window, Not just a rank animal full of tricks.)
** Re-buck
Rider Classes If your rider (that you chose) attempts your animal and makes it less than 2 seconds and you feel your animal was not shown to his/her best, you can pay $200 re-buck fee for another chance. Rider score on re-buck will not count towards rider competition. Ride time will. Animal will be reloaded at earliest point the back pen crew is able.
Exception: example a horse is awarded a re-buck and bulls have already been loaded, the re-buck will not take place until the end of the event. Owner can choose to find a different rider or have the same rider get on for the re-buck.
Non-rider Classes – If UBBI official or crew causes animal not to perform a re-buck will be awarded. (Example - bad gate, walked in front of, ect.). It will be 100% up to the judges if action constitutes a re-buck. IF the dummy come off before the buzzer, you can request a re-buck.
Tie breaker goes to score for judge #1, if still a tie, it goes to judge #3.

Protest
Anyone wishing to protest an animal based on age, drugs, past performance, or ownership may do so. There will be a $1,000 cash required. If protester is proven right, they will be returned the cash in full. If protest involves any testing of veterinary service the charges will be charged to the owner along with a 2-event suspension for the first occurrence, and forfeit any money won at the event. If the owner is proven innocent, they will receive all bond money less any cost for test or veterinary services.
Falls
If an animal falls during the competition, (any part of the torso above the legs touching the ground
constitutes a fall), the animal shall be marked zero.
3 and Out
If an animal fights the chute, after three attempts with a rider or to mount the dummy and is unsuccessful animal will be disqualified.
Health- Welfare
UBBI management or judges have the right to
disqualify an animal if, in their opinion the health and welfare of the animal or event personnel is at risk.
Health Requirements
All animals must be healthy and fit for competition.
All animals exhibited at a UBBI event shall meet the health requirements required by the state and/or locale of the event.
Brands
All animals must have a permanent identification brand. Any animal competing without a permanent brand will be
warned after the first event entry (points will count). At the second event, entry/competing will not be allowed. The
identification numbers must be legible at all times. If they are blurred or haired-over, the numbers must be clipped or
renumbered. UBBI must approve any exceptions to the above in writing.
Classes
Rodeo Teams
Rodeo Teams will be made up of 1 Bareback Horse, 1 Saddle Bronc Horse and 1 Bull each. Bull cannot have ever competed at the PBR World Finals or NFR. Horses cannot have competed at NFR. All will buck in a produced event on day two with a “bring your own rider format” Rider times WILL be added to the score of each animal. Animals can be of ANY age. Team can be made up of more than one breeder or contractor. Each owner must have a membership in good standing. Team must compete in a minimum of 2 events to qualify for finals, same horses and bulls do not have to compete at each event. Points are awarded to the team, not animals. Finals will be limited to the top 20 teams.
Age varication – ABBI and BHBA registration will be accepted for age varication. Any horse not registered with BHBA or bull not registered with ABBI will need to provide a signed statement form their vet.
Non-Rider Teams (bulls or horses)
Teams can consist of 3 animals of any age any class. Points will be awarded for 1-10 in each age category the combination of these point will be tallied together to make up total team points. No points will be awarded from 11th on.
A horse or bull team can be made up of more than one breeder or contractor. Each owner must have a membership in good standing. Team must compete in a minimum of 2 events to qualify for finals, same horses and bulls do not have to compete at each event. Points are awarded to the team, not animals.
All non-rider classes will use the use the “Divisional Format”. Nummer of levels will be determined by number of entries. Divisions will be as follows:
1. Open
2. Challenger
3. Limited
4. Contender
5. Prospect
Yearling, futurity 2-year-old horses will all buck for 6 seconds.
Ladies & Youth Classes
The Ladies & Youth classes were created specifically for Ladies & Youth (18 and under) contestants ONLY. The bull/horse may not be entered into any other class. Ladies and Youth member listed must be the person to flank the bull (exception 12 and under youth may receive assistance). Horse or bull/horse cannot have any money won in any open
events. Youth ages as of Jan. 1 of that year will be age used all season.
3-year-old horses shall be bucked for 6 seconds with a dummy and a flank. It is permissible to put a halter without a lead on the horse. In addition, it
shall be permissible to use a halter and a lead to simulate a bronc rein, with the rein configured to release tension with the release of the dummy.
4–5-year-olds horses (bring your own rider) buck for 8 seconds in ranch bronc riding.
Check In:
Check in will start on the Thursday (times TBD) prior to the event, and the Friday morning of (TBD)unless stated otherwise. Once CHECK IN time is over there will be NO EXCEPTIONS. Unless arrangements are made before the day of check in, trailers not in line to unload may result in forfeit of all entry fees paid.
Age of Animal:
The age of the animal will be that the year born in. Example for 2025 any animal competing born in 2023 will be considered a two-year-old all season, regardless of actual birthdate.
Horns:
Horns on ALL animals must be tipped to the industry standard:
Yearlings and Futurity calves: QUARTER
Derby and Classic bulls: HALF DOLLAR
Animals unloaded that do not have horns tipped to the industry standard will result in a DQ and/or forfeit of entry fees. HORNS WILL NOT BE TIPPED AT EVENT!!!
Western Attire:
During all performances, all contestants MUST adhere to wearing western attire (western hat, long sleeve collared shirt and pants) behind the bucking chutes. This rule will be strictly enforced at ALL UBBI events. Fine will be $100 per occurrence.
Animal Welfare:
No use of wire, zip ties or anything foreign the flank may be used.
Standard electric prods may be used only when necessary, by production crew in back and may only touch the animal on the hip or shoulder area. Any contractor/breeder or rider caught using unnecessary roughness or abusing an animal may be immediately disqualified from the event and charged a fine $1000. This holds true whether it is in the competitive arena or elsewhere on the grounds.
Banned Substances
The UBBI prohibits the use of anabolic steroids, drug masking agents, diuretics and specifically reserves the right to test, or to allow the event management to test, any horses or bulls at any time using accepted scientific methods in the industry. Testing expense may result in a minimum lab fee of $30 deducted per entry. Any entrant of a horse or bull testing positive for anabolic steroids, drug masking agents, diuretics may be subject to sanctions including forfeiture of any prize money and accumulated points, expulsion from the UBBI, a minimum fine amount of $5000 and any other sanctions deemed appropriate at the discretion of the UBBI. Any animal testing negative but repeatedly showing high testosterone levels may be subject to additional testing at the discretion of the UBBI. The UBBI defines the following as prohibited “anabolic steroids”: Boldenone Undecylenate (Equipoise®); Stanozolol (Winstrol®); Clenbuterol (Clenbuterol Hydrochloride); Ventipulmin and any form of Testosterone. The UBBI may update the list at any time as deemed necessary. The UBBI will not allow the administration of any medications to a horse or bull prior to competition at a UBBI event without the direct supervision of a licensed veterinarian. Violations of this rule shall result in a minimum fine of $250.00 and disqualification of said animal at the event in question. Fines shall be levied by the UBBI. Failure to pay fines shall result in suspension of member.
Medications may be administered after competition by the owner without veterinarian supervision, however a UBBI must be notified and be present during administration of medications. This includes any performance enhancing drug not listed or curtly known to UBBI. All testing and sample collection will be perforated by a listened veterinarian approved by UBBI.
Entering and Deadlines:
Rodeo Teams will be limited to 20
RODEO TEAM nominations will open 45 days before event and fees will be due 30 days before event, late fee of $500 will be included if fees are not paid by that time.
Team animals (brands, names, delivery, age) must be turned in 7 days before event, failure to do so will constitute a fine of $100/per animal not turned in.
All other classes – spots must be requested minimum of 30 days before event, (example Bill Smith 2 yearlings, 2 futurity bulls and 1 3-year-old horse.) Late fee of $25 per contactor/breeder will be added for any late entries. All other class animals (brands, names, age, delivery) and entry fees must be turned in 7 days before event or will be charged $100 fine.
Vet out – any animal that must be removed from the event must have a vet note turned in no later than 24 hours before the event. Fees will not be refunded but will be credited to next event or you may substitute another animal.
Rider fees - must be turned in with animal entry fees, riders do not have to be named until you check in. If, you need to change out your rider for any reason, do so with the event secretary at check in, if UBBI is not notified at least 1 hour before event, there will be a $100 fine accessed.
